HOW DO I GET TO BARBADOS?

There are many direct flights from NYC, Miami, Toronto, London, and Sao Paulo, Brazil. And from many islands in the Caribbean as well.

The airlines that fly direct to Barbados are: American Airline, Us Airways, Jet Blue, Air Canada, West Jet, British Airways, Virgin Atlantic, Gol and Liat.

IS IT HURRICANE SEASON?

Barbados sits in the Atlantic hurricane belt and is at little risk during the hurricane season from June till November. However, hurricanes tend to strike the islands further north more frequently. On average Barbados is struck by a hurricane only once every 25 years.

I’M TRAVELLING ON MY OWN, CAN I SHARE A ROOM?

Absolutely. We love traveling solo! We will pair you with someone amazing.

ARE THERE ANY ADDITIONAL COSTS? (What is the currency?)

No hidden costs. You pay for your flight. We cover the rest. Do bring some cash for any additional services you might choose, such as massage, reiki, a shopping day. The US dollar is accepted all over the island. The currency ratio is 2 Barbados Dollars for 1 USD.

WHAT DO I NEED TO BRING?

Your favorite swimsuit, sarong, sunscreen, flip flops (we do like being barefoot most of the day though), camera, yoga shorts/leggings, yoga tops, a comfortable swim suit for surfing, yoga mat optional, rash guard for surfing is recommended. Everything else, you leave behind.

IS THERE WIFI IN THE PROPERTY?

Yes, there is. We will provide you with the password if you ask. Although….we highly recommend unplugging as much as you can! It is up to you!

CAN I BRING KIDS?

Sorry, this retreat is 18+. Soon we will offer a family & kids retreat, with lots of exciting culinary adventures for your little ones!

WHAT ARE SOME OF THE DETOX SYMPTOMS?

We all detox differently. You are going to be amazed at how strong and energized you feel! In the beginning, your body may go through a “healing phase” to re-balance and let go of toxicity. It is important to listen to your body through the retreat, and Francesca ( Nutrition coach)  will be here to support you with that.  This is one of the reason why this program is different.  I will guide you step by step through exactly what can be done to reduce any unwanted symptoms that may appear. This program is completely flexible for figuring out what works for YOU!

WILL I BE HUNGRY?

Not at all! There will be  breakfast, lunch, and dinner, and  snacks in between. Every meal is delicious and created by Manuela Scalini ,  fabulous chef,  to nourish your body from the inside out. This program is not about starvation or deprivation, and we are not counting calories or dwelling on carbs. You will feel satisfied with every bite. If you do get hungry, there are extra snack we can get for you.

WHAT ABOUT PROTEIN?

Protein is an essential nutrient that plays a key role in how our bodies function.The retreat menu is based on a Raw/Fusion Raw  varied diet with nutrient dense foods with a high plant protein content.

I’VE NEVER DONE YOGA BEFORE…

Its never too late to start. The classes are taught for all levels, and it could very well change your life!
