#WFPCaribbean is celebrating #WorldFoodDay by reconnecting with our roots! Which roots you ask? Root crops of course! Dasheen for example has a higher nutritional value than most other roots and is considered to have analgesic, anti-cancer and anti-inflammatory properties.

Thanks to Barbados-based Plant-Based Chef & Wellness Gastronomy Consultant, Manuela Scalini for showing us all of the benefits of eating and cooking delicious dasheen, and for the mouth watering dasheen-based vegan yogurt recipe.
